What is the general design process and timeline? While logo design can seem like a quick or simple task, it takes lots of time, client briefing/openness, conceptual/technical skills, and many years of experience to successfully create a top-quality logo to match the brand identity and appeal to a specific target audience. ConceptShell’s timeline for a logo from start to finish generally takes between 2-4 weeks depending on the vision, information provided upfront and client feedback.

What’s included? ConceptShell provides quality service, transparent creative/art direction, and clear communication that is unique to each Client from start to finish. An Agreement and Brief is first sent out for contract signing and information collection. Each design phase deck with sketches, research and conceptual work will be presented and shared after each review. Final logo files will be produced in different formats including small social and large vector art that is scalable for unique platforms.

How much will it cost and is there a deposit? The total cost depends on multiple factors. Based on the style complexity of your vision, it will fall within the appropriate package cost range below:

• LITE package, $500-850:
  Client needs alterations done to improve existing logo, or a new logo design to be created from a highly-detailed sketch/verbal idea. Client has already done extensive research, provides current brand guidelines, and knows the direction they want to pursue. Designer provides 2 minimum designs in first phase, with 1-2 rounds of design reviews and edits.

• PLUS package, $850-2.000:
  Client needs a logo evolution, or a new logo design to be created with wanted graphic elements/similarities from inspiration samples. Client has already done major research and has 1-2 solid design directions they want to go. Designer provides 3 minimum designs in first phase, with 2-3 rounds of design reviews and edits.

• PREMIUM package, $2,000-3,500:
  Client needs a brand new logo. Client has already done research, but would like Designer to provide research and development of brand, mockups of logo in relatable spaces, complimentary fonts, color palette and more. Designer provides 3-4+ minimum design directions in first phase, with 3-4 rounds of design reviews and edits.

• SELECT add-ons, $75-150/hour:
  Client needs additional assets designed such as business cards, t-shirts, etc. The hourly rate depends on the complexity of the design needed.

• Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit of your total fee is due with the signed Agreement and Brief forms before any work begins. CS will work with you and your budget to figure out exactly what you need.
