ConceptShell was hired to design a jersey for the Seattle Kraken’s Lunar New Year theme night as part of the 2024-2025 Kraken Common Thread cohort. 2025 is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac. Shayla interpreted the primary Kraken S and secondary Space Needle anchor logos with colors, patterns, and lines representing important features, including the existing Kraken branding, her Pacific Northwest roots, lucky details of the 2025 wood snake, and pieces of Shayla’s Filipino heritage. The goal for this design was to help bring more diversity to the game of hockey, while making family, friends, and all people proud who celebrate the holiday.
