Queer Running Society Logo

ConceptShell was honored to design the logo for the launch of Queer Running Society (QRS) on May 17, 2023, coinciding with International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia. The newly formed organization elevates the queer experience in the running industry by connecting queer running communities, campaigning for queer representation, compiling queer content and resources, creating safe spaces for the queer community, and conducting surveys and research. With a focus on all running disciplines—road, trail, ultra, track and field—and the intersectionality of marginalized identities, QRS advocates on behalf of queer runners and adaptive athletes and engages with brands, companies, and organizations committed to a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive industry.

We worked directly with the QRS founder and executive director to create a clean, bold, uplifting logo to help expand the organization’s vision. The logo is bright and strong, with forward movement in the typography to evoke speed and progression. The tail forms a triangle, intentionally representing an abstract track that envelopes “RUNNING SOCIETY.” The pink triangle is also included as a positive symbol of identity, reclaimed by the LGBTQIA+ community.

Testimonial

“Shayla is amazing! When we were looking for someone to create a logo for our new organization, Queer Running Society, we knew we were looking for an LGBTQ+ owned organization and wanted to work with someone who could help us expand upon our vision. Shayla did just that, working patiently with us through a number of changes and was such a pleasure to work with along the way. AND, the end product turned out fantastic! Not only does it look great, but the intentions and thought put into it make the small details even more meaningful. Take my advice—use Shayla and ConceptShell for your projects!”
